In this blog post, we’ll show you how to use the Pen tool and the Image Trace feature in Adobe Illustrator to easily trace the outline of an image.

Open your image in Illustrator
Open your image in Illustrator. You can do this by going to File > Open, or by dragging the image file into the Illustrator workspace. Once your image is opened, go to Window > Image Trace to open up the Image Trace panel.
Select the image
To begin, select the image that you want to trace. If the image is not already avector graphic, you’ll need to convert it. To do this, go to “Object > Image Trace > Make.” This will bring up the Image Trace panel. Experiment with the various settings until you find a tracing that you like. When you’re happy with the results, click “trace.” This will create a new vector graphic that you can edit and manipulate as you please.
Go to the “Object” menu
1. Go to the “Object” menu.
2. Choose “Image Trace.”
3. Select the image you want to trace.
4. Click “Open.”
5. A window will pop up asking you how you want to trace the image.
6. Choose the mode that best suits your needs and click “OK.”
7. The trace will appear on your document.
Select “Image Trace”
In Adobe Illustrator, there’s a handy tool called Image Trace that can convert your image into vector format. This is especially useful if you want to use an image as a graphic element in your design. In this quick tip, we’ll show you how to use Image Trace to create a vector outline of your image.
First, open your image in Illustrator. Then, go to the “Window” menu and select “Image Trace.” This will open the Image Trace panel.
Next, select the “High Fidelity Photo” preset from the Presets drop-down menu. This will give you the best results for most images.
Then, click on the “Trace” button at the bottom of the panel. Adobe Illustrator will now trace your image and produce a vector outline.
Finally, click on the ” Expand” button at the top of the panel to convert your traced image into vector format. And that’s all there is to it!
Choose the tracing options that best fit your image
1. In the Control panel, click the Tracing button or choose Window > Image Trace.
2. In the Image Trace panel, do any of the following:
-To view more tracing options, click the Expand button .
-To reduce the number of colors in your image, type a low number in the Palettes menu or click the down arrow next to Palettes and choose arranging from site Low Color Limit. To increase the number of colors, type a high number or click High Color Limit.
-For more control over colors, select IgnoreWhite. This option traces only areas that contain color; it ignores white pixels in your image.
3. To apply your changes and trace the image, click Trace.
In Adobe Illustrator, there are a few different ways that you can trace the outline of an image. One way is to use the “Image Trace” tool. This tool automatically converts your image into vector format.
To use the Image Trace tool, first open your image in Illustrator. Then, go to the “Window” menu and select “Image Trace”. A new panel will appear.
In the Image Trace panel, select the preset that you want to use. For most images, the “High Fidelity Photo” preset will work well. If you’re tracing a line drawing or sketch, you may want to use the “Line Art” preset.
Once you’ve selected a preset, click “OK”. Your image will now be converted into vector format!
Expand the image
1. Click on the “Image Trace” button in the toolbar.
2. Select the image you want to trace.
3. Select the “Expand” button in the options panel.
4. Your image is now traced!
Select the outlines of the image
In order to trace the outline of an image in Illustrator, you will need to first select the image. To do this, click on the “Selection” tool in the toolbar and then click on the image. Once the image is selected, go to the “Object” menu and select “Path.” Finally, click on “trace.”
Go to the “Edit” menu
Go to the “Edit” menu, then click on the “Trace” option. A new window will appear with several tracing options. Choose the one that best suits your needs, then click “OK.” A trace of your image will appear on the Illustrator canvas.
To begin, open the image you wish to trace in Illustrator. Select “File,” then “Place” to insert the image into your Illustrator document. With the image selected, click on the “Image Trace” button in the Properties panel. A drop-down menu will appear; select “High Fidelity Photo.” This tracing preset will produce the most accurate vector tracing results for photos and images with a lot of detail. If you are tracing a sketch or line art, select “Line Art” instead.
