What You’ll Need

In order to create a sun in Illustrator, you’ll need the following items:

-Adobe Illustrator CC
-A computer with a recent graphic processor unit (GPU) and enough RAM to support it
-High-resolution images of the sun

If you don’t have Adobe Illustrator CC, you can download a free trial from the Adobe website.

Creating the Sun’s Circle

The first step to creating a sun in Illustrator is to create the sun’s circle. To do this, use the Ellipse Tool (L) to draw a perfect circle. Next, use the Appearance panel to add a second fill of yellow to the circle. Then, add a Gaussian Blur effect and set the radius to 10px.

Adding the Sun’s Rays

Adding the sun’s rays in Illustrator is a simple process that can add a lot of interest and dimension to your design. To create the sun’s rays, you will need to use the Star Tool.

To create the sun’s rays:

1. Select the Star Tool from the toolbar.
2. Click on your artboard and drag outwards to create a star. The further you drag, the more points the star will have.
3. With the star selected, go to Effect > Warp > Arc Lower. This will bend the points of the star downwards to create the illusion of rays emanating from a central point.
4. Change the arc value to 50% to give the rays a more pronounced curve.
5. Expand the appearance of the object by going to Object > Expand Appearance.
6. Duplicate the object and reflect it over a vertical axis by going to Edit > Transform > Reflect. Make sure that you select Vertical as your axis before clicking OK.

Adding Color to the Sun

To add color to the sun, we will need to use the “Paint Bucket” tool. With the “Paint Bucket” tool selected, click on the area you want to fill with color. A dialogue box will appear asking you to choose a color. Choose a color and click “OK”. The area you filled with color will now be that color.

Adding a Glare Effect

In this guide, we’re going to show you how to add a glare effect to your sun in Adobe Illustrator. This will make your sun look more realistic and add some depth to your design.

First, we need to create a new layer. To do this, click on the “Layer” menu at the top of the screen and then click “New Layer.”

Next, we need to select the Ellipse Tool from the toolbar on the left side of the screen.

Once you have the Ellipse Tool selected, click and drag on your artboard to create a sun shape. Make sure that the center of your circle is in the middle of your sun.

With your sun selected, go to the “Effect” menu at the top of the screen and choose “Distort & Transform.” Then select “Polar Coordinates” from the list of options.

In the Polar Coordinates window that appears, make sure that the ” Rectangle to Polar Coordinates” option is selected and then click “OK.”

Your sun should now be distorted into a radial shape.

Next, we need to add a noise effect to our sun. To do this, go to the “Effect” menu again and choose “Texture.” Then select “Grain” from the list of options.

In the Grain window that appears, increase the intensity until you’re happy with how much noise is being added to your sun. Then click “OK.”

Now we need to add a glare effect to our sun. To do this, go to the “Effect” menu once again and choose “Render.” Then select “Lens Flare” from the list of options.
