How to create a custom choker in Adobe Illustrator

For this example, we’ll choose the Brick by Column option. Click OK when you’re done and your pattern will repeat across the top of the heart shape.

Now that you have your design created, it’s time to cut it out! To do this, simply print out your design and use a sharp knife or pair of scissors to cut out around the edge of the heart shape. Once you have your choker cut out, poke two holes in either side of the top of the heart and threading through some ribbon or twine. Tie off each end and you’re done!
